Hawaii?s popular comedian and on-air personality Augie T brings his hilarious local humor to the stage this summer for a night of laugh-out-loud fun. Augie T?s special guest is Jose Dynamite, who has been performing stand-up in Hawai?i for eight years. His humor is described as a mix of ?dumb haole? with obscure observations. Jose has been the opening act for Augie T on the road, and he can also be heard doing a ?bomb joke of the day? on O?ahu radio.

A Reflection of Kalaupapa: Past, Present and Future. August 19 to September 20, Wednesdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Schaefer International Gallery at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center

Photographer Wayne Levin?s eloquent portraits of Kalaupapa residents and their families surge through this poignant exhibit, presented in collaboration with Ka ?Ohana O Kalaupapa. Supplemented by archival documents and interviews, Levin?s photographs reflect the past and present of Kalaupapa, telling the complete story of this remote northern peninsula on the island of Moloka?i.

Tickets: Admission is free. Also open before Castle Theater shows and during intermission.

8th Annual Juried Art Exhibition Malama Wao Akua 2012. August 15 to September 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at Viewpoints Gallery in Makawao.

East Maui Watershed Partnership and Viewpoints Gallery in Makawao have partnered for the seventh year in a row to raise awareness about Maui?s native Species. The exhibit affords the general public the opportunity to connect with Maui?s unique flora and fauna through the lens of an artists? viewpoint and perspective.

Starting in the spring of 2004, artists? young and old, professional and amateur have answered the call to help raise awareness about Maui?s native Hawaiian species and unique island ecosystem. Artwork uses any type of media that depicts a native plant, animal, insect, or native landscape of Maui.

For this year?s native species art show, 139 pieces from 105 local Maui artists were entered and 78 pieces were selected by jurors Connie Adams and Dr. Art Medeiros.

?Love Paia!? Fourth Friday Town Party. Friday, August 24 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This month?s Paia Town Party features entertainment by?Irene Ryding playing an electric harp at Grace Beauty, a Lululemon fashion show, and a yoga/dance expo at the Paia Bay Caf?. Turnbull Fine Art will feature jazz music and Taryn Alessandro?s new mixed media work. The Worrell Family Bank will perform at Letarte.

Tickets: Entry is free and a street festival atmosphere is enjoyed.

Maui Nui Botanical Gardens? Hawaiian Plant Sale & Family Fun Day. Saturday, August 25 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Maui Nui Botanical Gardens in Wailuku.

Maui Nui Botanical Garden (MNBG) joins forces with KPOA 93.5 FM for a day of Hawaiian plants and family fun. Purchase Hawaiian plants from various local growers, participate in free keiki activities, refreshments available, with entertainment provided by KPOA 93.5 FM.

All proceeds raised at this event will support the programs and mission of Maui Nui Botanical Gardens. The MNBG is dedicated to the protection of Maui Nui?s rich native plants and cultural heritage.
